How It Works

Which steps are needed to list a project with recarb

Projects that want to issue Carbon Shares with recarb need to go through a couple of different steps. We try make sure the process is as time-efficient as possible by automating most of it.

If you have any questions feel free to get in touch with us. We'll try to guide you through the process.

Eligibility Analysis

The first step providing the exact geolocation data of the planned project site. We will use the data to do a forest-non-forest analysis to check which area of your project is eligible for planting.

Afterwards you will be given the results together with the expected carbon sequestration capacity of the project and a revenue projection. With that information you can decide if it makes sense for you to continue the process.

General Information

If you start the certification process you are required to give us more detailed information about the project, your organisation, the land and stakeholders to ensure that the project conforms to our guidelines.

Plantation Design

The plantation Design stage is important for creating an accurate carbon model for the project. We also want to make sure that the species planted reflect the natural ecosystem and are resilient to a changing climate.

MRV

With the plantation design completed we setup the MRV process and make a baseline measurement of the project.

We do of course understand the possibility that parts of the plantation design might change before planting, so we still offer the opportunity to change the models later on.

IPO

Once the first carbon models are finished you can already prepare your initial public offering (IPO). Set a Share price and let the magic begin 🚀
